Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a consultation?
Yes. Every client receives a thorough consultation before treatment to discuss your goals, medical history and suitability. Your safety will always come first.
Is there a booking deposit?
Yes. A £30 booking deposit is required to secure your appointment. This is deducted from the cost of your treatment on the day.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice or missed appointments will result in the loss of your £30 deposit.
Are treatments suitable for everyone?
Not always. Some medical conditions, medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding may mean treatment is not suitable. This will be discussed during your consultation.
Are injectable treatments painful?
Most clients find treatments very tolerable. Many products contain a local anaesthetic to improve comfort, and numbing cream can be applied where appropriate.
How long do appointments take?
Appointment times vary depending on the treatment. Most appointments take between 30 and 90 minutes, including your consultation.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Results vary depending on the treatment area, product used and individual metabolism. Most fillers last between 6 and 18 months.
How long does anti-wrinkle treatment last?
Results typically begin to appear within 3–7 days, with full results visible after around 14 days. Effects usually last 3–4 months.
Will I bruise or swell?
Some redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising is completely normal after injectable treatments and usually settles within a few days.
When can I wear makeup?
For most injectable treatments, it is recommended to avoid makeup for 24 hours unless advised otherwise.
Do you offer natural-looking results?
Absolutely. My approach is to enhance your natural features while maintaining facial balance and harmony. My aim is for you to look refreshed and confident—not overdone.
What should I do before my appointment?
Please arrive with clean skin where possible and let me know about any changes to your medical history or medications. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments where possible.
What should I do after my treatment?
You will receive personalised aftercare advice. Following this guidance is important to achieve the best possible results and reduce the risk of complications.
What if I have concerns after my treatment?
Please contact Glow Aesthetics as soon as possible if you have any concerns. Advice and follow-up support are always available.
